Iridium Spark Plug vs Normal Spark Plug⚑

πŸ”Ή Electrode Material & Design

Iridium Spark Plug
Uses an ultra-fine iridium center electrode (very hard & heat-resistant). The sharp tip concentrates electrical energy, producing a stronger and more focused spark.

Normal Spark Plug
Uses a nickel alloy electrode, which is thicker and softer. The spark is wider and less concentrated.

πŸ”Ή Spark Quality & Combustion

Iridium
Requires lower voltage to fire β†’ more reliable ignition, especially during cold starts and high-RPM driving. Results in better combustion efficiency.

Normal
Needs higher voltage β†’ spark quality drops as the electrode wears, causing incomplete combustion over time.

πŸ”Ή Performance & Engine Response

Iridium
βœ” Faster throttle response
βœ” Smoother idling
βœ” Better acceleration

Normal
❌ Slight hesitation as it ages
❌ Rough idle in some conditions

πŸ”Ή Fuel Efficiency

Iridium
Efficient spark leads to better air-fuel burn, improving mileage and reducing fuel waste.

Normal
Less efficient combustion β†’ slightly higher fuel consumption over long-term use.

πŸ”Ή Durability & Service Life

Iridium
Lasts 80,000–100,000 km (sometimes more). Extremely resistant to wear and erosion.

Normal
Typically lasts 20,000–30,000 km. Electrodes wear faster.

πŸ”Ή Engine Compatibility

Iridium
Ideal for modern engines, high-compression engines, EFI systems, and performance vehicles.

Normal
Suitable for older engines and budget-focused maintenance.

πŸ”Ή Cost vs Value

Iridium
πŸ’° Higher initial cost
βœ… Lower long-term maintenance
βœ… Better performance & efficiency

Normal
πŸ’° Low upfront cost
❌ More frequent replacement

πŸ‘‰ Choose Iridium Spark Plug if you want performance, fuel efficiency, and long life

πŸ‘‰ Choose Normal Spark Plug if you want a low-cost, basic solution

In a 4-wheel vehicle, the propeller shaft (also called driveshaft) functions to:
1. **Transmit power** from transmission to differential
2. **Connect** transmission to rear axle (in RWD/AWD)
3. **Enable** power transfer to all four wheels (in AWD)
4. **Absorb** vibrations and shocks
Is your propeller shaft damaged or noisy? Get in touch # Pillartech Resources Ltd

πŸš— ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS)

πŸ›ž 1. Steering Wheel

This is where everything begins.

When the driver turns the steering wheel, a rotational force (torque) is applied.
In an EPS system, this force doesn’t directly move the wheels alone β€” it sends a signal to sensors and the ECU so power assist can be added.
That’s why steering feels light at parking speeds and stable at high speed.

πŸ”₯ 2. Torque Sensor

The torque sensor measures how hard you are turning the wheel and which direction (left or right).
Its job:

Detect steering input

Send electronic signal to the ECU

Decide how much assist the electric motor must give

If this sensor fails β†’ heavy steering, warning lights, no power assist.

βš™οΈ 3. Assembly (Intermediate Shaft + Sensor Housing)

This is the mechanical link between steering wheel and steering gear.
It transfers motion from driver input to the steering rack, while sensors collect data.
Think of it as the bridge between driver force and electric assist.

⚑ 4. Electric Motor

This is the heart of EPS.
Instead of hydraulic pressure, this motor creates steering assist.
Benefits:

No oil, no pump

Low maintenance

More efficient

Works only when needed

When you turn slowly β†’ more assist.
When you drive fast β†’ less assist for stability.

🧠 5. ECU (Electronic Control Unit)

The brain of EPS.
It receives signals from:

Torque Sensor

Vehicle Speed Sensor

Motor feedback

Then it calculates and commands: ➑️ how much assist
➑️ when to cut assist
➑️ safety shutdown if there’s a failure

ECU is why EPS can integrate with ABS, stability control, lane assist, parking assist.

πŸ›» 6. Steering Gear (Rack and Pinion)

This converts rotational movement into linear movement to turn the wheels.
Even without power assist, the rack still works mechanically.
EPS simply makes it easier.

If wear happens here β†’ rattling, free play, poor wheel alignment.

🏎️ 7. Vehicle Speed Sensor

Critical sensor that tells ECU how fast the vehicle is moving.

Low speed β†’ more steering assist (easy parking)

High speed β†’ reduced assist (more control, less wobble)

If this fails β†’ EPS feels weird, sometimes too light or too heavy.

🩺 Why EPS is the future of steering

Saves fuel

No hydraulic leaks

Compatible with ADAS & autonomous driving

Can self-correct steering

Lightweight and efficient
