"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." - Luke 6:38

This verse teaches us that when we give and help others, God will bless us abundantly in return. It's a principle of sowing and reaping.

Let's look at some Bible figures who demonstrated this principle:

1. Joseph (Genesis 41-47): Joseph helped Pharaoh by interpreting his dreams and became a blessing to the entire Egyptian nation. Later, he helped his own family during a famine.

2. Daniel (Daniel 2-6): Daniel helped King Nebuchadnezzar by interpreting his dreams and later helped his friends, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in their time of need.

3. Jesus (Matthew 20:28): Jesus came to serve and give His life as a ransom for many. He taught His disciples to do the same, saying, "Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant."

4. Barnabas (Acts 4:36-37): Barnabas sold his land and gave the proceeds to the early Christian church, helping many in need.

These examples illustrate the importance of stretching out a helping hand to others, just as we would like to receive help ourselves. By doing so, we demonstrate God's love and kindness, and He will bless us abundantly in return.

Here are ten ways to control pride

1. *Recognize your limitations* (Proverbs 3:7): "Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil."

2. *Humble yourself* (Matthew 23:12): "Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted."

3. *Seek feedback* (Proverbs 12:15): "The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice."

4. *Practice self-awareness* (Psalm 139:23-24): "Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."

5. *Embrace weakness* (2 Corinthians 12:9-10): "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."

6. *Focus on God's strength* (Psalm 28:7): "The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped."

7. *Learn from mistakes* (Proverbs 24:16): "For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble in their own wickedness."

8. *Practice gratitude* (1 Corinthians 4:7): "What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?"

9. *Seek humility* (Matthew 18:4): "Whoever humbles himself like a child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."

10. *Depend on God's grace* (Romans 3:24): "and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

Remember, controlling pride is a lifelong process, and it requires God's grace and strength. By embracing these principles and scripture references, you can cultivate humility and live a more God-honoring life.
