Vicky (one of our rental agents) and Pro (one of our drivers) joined a group of passionate young people from Tsjaka, a small village in the Omaheke Region, about 50 km southeast of Gobabis. United by compassion and a deep sense of community, they came together to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
The group calls itself Basha & Bagolo ba Tsjaka Community Group, meaning Tsjaka’s Youth & Adults Community Group. Their mission is rooted in love, care, and responsibility toward their community.
They support children by providing essential items such as toiletries, stationery, and school uniforms, helping them attend school with dignity and confidence. At the same time, they care for the elders by cooking meals for them and supplying basic necessities, ensuring they are not forgotten.
Every year, the group comes together to prepare and share a Christmas lunch with elders from Tsjaka and neighboring villages. For many, this is more than just a meal, it is a moment of warmth, joy, and connection.
The heart of this project is simple yet powerful: to remind the elders that they are loved, valued, and remembered, and to show the children that kindness and unity can transform a community.
