🧮 Junior Bookkeeper

We’re looking for someone who thrives on accuracy, loves well-organised systems, and takes pride in maintaining clean, compliant financial records. If you enjoy working independently and want to be part of a supportive professional environment — this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales & Cash: Reconcile daily fuel/shop sales, verify cash-ups, match POS to banking, resolve variances, manage petty cash.
• Suppliers & Inventory: Process fuel and shop stock invoices, match delivery documents, track orders and supplier balances.
• Accounts: Maintain accounts payable/receivable, capture invoices, prepare reconciliations, schedule supplier payments, issue customer invoices, follow up on overdue accounts.
• Banking: Perform daily/monthly bank and card reconciliations; monitor cash floats.
• Payroll & Compliance: Prepare payroll inputs, verify overtime/deductions, assist with VAT/PAYE/VET Levy filings.
• Reporting: Analyse margins and variances; support year-end procedures and audits.
• Administration: Maintain filing systems, update finance policies, handle queries, and support the station manager.
Requirements:
• Proven bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in Sage/Xero/QuickBooks or similar software
• Strong numeracy, accuracy, organisation, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, under pressure, and with confidentiality
• Ability to work in a high paced environment
