" I run Valvoline premium blue 15w40 diesel engine oil on my 94 2.0 year-round. I've been running it since I got it 6 years ago and now have 257k miles and she still runs like a top. Reason I do, vw mechanic once told me it was the best oil for it, took his word, can't complain."
