Race Report – IAME Asia Round 3 2026
πŸ“ Bira International Circuit

A challenging and action-packed weekend for RL Karting as we took on Round 3 of IAME Asia.

Cadet
Thuta Min Sett delivered one of the standout drives of the weekend, charging from P26 to P12 in the Super Heat with an impressive performance. In the Final, he fought hard in a very competitive field to finish P23, securing P3 in Cadet Rookie.

Faliq Farriz showed strong pace throughout practice but was unfortunate to receive a penalty in the Final, finishing P28.

Senior
Kiaan Shah crossed the line in P14 after a 5-second penalty impacted his result.

Thomas George showed great determination despite battling food poisoning, fighting his way through the field in the Final to finish P24.

Dominic Setiawan and Ayaan Marwah both demonstrated top-5 pace all weekend but were unlucky in the Final after incidents at the start ended their chances of strong results.

Masters
⭐ Thiru Kumaran was the star of the show β€” an incredible drive filled with decisive overtakes saw him briefly take the lead. After intense battles, he secured a well-earned P3 finish.

Congratulations to BirelART Asia on a strong weekend with a Top 3 in Senior, victory in Junior, and P2 for Patthapol β€” a great result for the brand overall.

A solid weekend with plenty of positives to take forward.

Race Report – Rotax Max Challenge Asia Trophy 2026 (RMCAT)
πŸ“ Bira International Circuit, Thailand

A weekend filled with strong pace, podium finishes, and some unfortunate setbacks for the team at Bira.

Micro
Daniel Yoon (Korea)
A dominant performance throughout the weekend, topping qualifying and winning all heats. Daniel led the final convincingly before an electrical issue forced him into a heartbreaking DNF while in control of the race.

Mini
Eason Chou (Taiwan) – πŸ₯ˆ P2
Isaac Yoon (Korea) – πŸ₯‰ P3
A fantastic result in Mini with a double podium finish. Both drivers showed great consistency and racecraft to secure P2 and P3, capping off a strong weekend for the category.

Senior
Krish Gupta (India) – πŸ₯ˆ P2
Laksh Bafna (India) – P6
Naman Kukreja (India) – P7
Kiaan Shah (India) – P9

Krish delivered an excellent drive to secure P2 after showing strong pace all weekend. Laksh brought home a solid P6, while Naman fought back well to P7 after a penalty for a start procedure infringement. Kiaan was unlucky to be involved in an incident at the start but recovered to finish P9.

DD2
Thomas George (India) – πŸ₯‰ P3
Thomas crossed the line in a strong position and secured P3 despite a post-race penalty for an on-track incident.

Overall, a weekend that showcased the team’s speed and potential, with multiple podium finishes across categories. While some results didn’t reflect the true pace due to incidents and mechanical issues, there are plenty of positives to take forward into the next round.

Huge thanks to for all the assistance throughout the weekend. for the data and coaching and the huge team of mechanics and team members behind that scenes that makes the team click. On to the next race!

IAME Asia Rd 2 at Bira International Circuot, Thailand. Another race weekend wrapped up with plenty of positives to take forward πŸ’ͺ

In Cadet, Faliq and Thuta had a solid weekend battling hard in the midfield. A bit unlucky with a few incidents, but strong progress shown and they’ll be back stronger next round.

In Junior, Park Doyul faced tough conditions with the intense heat but delivered a very strong Super Heat and Final. Unfortunately, bumper penalties held him back from the result he deserved.

In Senior, all three drivers showed great pace throughout the weekend. Kiaan and Dominic consistently ran in the top 5 during the heats, while Thomas was unlucky with incidents but proved his raw speed and potential.

In Masters, Thiru once again demonstrated he can fight among the best. A strong performance and great momentum moving forward with the team.

On to the next one πŸ‘Š
