IMOS 2026 Trackday
After almost a year of no track action, we finally hit Sepang again for the first time this year in 2026!

Our Scirocco R “Clubsport” is still a sub-2:30 car in Sepang this round, but we aren’t able to go any faster. Tires are still the RE71RS and it’s on the third trackday, which means it’s quite cooked 😆

Perhaps time to switch to some real semi-slicks for next round?

Nonetheless, it’s always a fun night out with our friends and customers at the track!

911 Turbo S (991.1) came in to the shop with “Generator Fault” warning light.

Alternator was the culprit, so replaced with a new OEM Bosch unit and job ✅

Not first in the world, but pretty sure it’s the first and only 992 GT3RS with Recaro CF Podium in 🇲🇾!!

Our customers are mad, and we certainly love them for it!

But being the first sometimes also carries its own challenges that come with it, in this case for RoSè (As her owner calls her 😆) the dashboard lighted up brightly with “Airbag Fault! Visit Workshop warning ⚠️ ” message after the Recaro CF Podium was installed.

Glad we managed to get rid of any errors or warnings with our technical know-how, PIWIS 3 mastery, and after a lot of brain scratching. (Few panadols were definitely needed).

Lastly, we certainly don’t want our dear friend to give us any excuses for not hitting a new Personal Best (PB) time in Sepang, after this upgrade by having distracting warnings on the dash now, do we? 🤪

BMW M3 with the V8 engine.

Some say, the achilles heel of this of this engine are the connecting rod bearings. Well, they are not wrong.

However, the main bearings are also a known issue, and based on the photos of them, a replacement is definitely due as well. This particular engine has 124,000KM’s on the clock and are running the factory main bearings. (Connecting rod bearings were replaced before at unknown date and mileage)

Complete engine removal, and engine placed on stand is required to carry out this task. A major, but worthy task to be carried out to prevent a catastrophic engine failure

Was the early 2000’s peak Mercedes-Benz AMG?

Ze Germans were certainly unhinged at that time, and we will probably never get such amazing machines like this SL55 AMG (R230) again anytime soon in the near future.

M113K engine with 5.4 litres, V8, Supercharged, 476BHP & 700Nm of torque, and a mad sounding exhaust note from the factory, from 2002…
