Carbon buildup vs a full walnut blast. This is why it matters. 🖤

Direct injection engines spray fuel straight into the cylinder, which means unlike older engines, no fuel ever washes over the intake valves to keep them clean. Instead, oil vapour from the PCV system settles on those hot valves and slowly bakes into hard carbon. Over time that buildup chokes airflow, and you start feeling it: rough idle, hesitation, misfires, a noticeable loss of power.

Walnut blasting fixes it properly. The shell media is soft enough to strip the carbon clean without scratching the valves or ports, restoring the airflow your engine was designed to have. Most GDI engines benefit from a blast every 40,000 to 60,000km.

One of the most overlooked mods on an MX-5.

This small Beatrush Direct Brake System / master cylinder stopper is not the kind of upgrade that gets attention at a car meet, but it improves something you feel every time you brake hard.

When you press the brake pedal, there can be a small amount of movement around the master cylinder and firewall. This brace supports the master cylinder and helps reduce that flex, giving the pedal a firmer, more direct and more consistent feel.

Why would you want one?

✅ Firmer brake pedal feel
✅ More direct feedback under hard braking
✅ Better confidence when braking into corners
✅ Simple bolt-on upgrade

Today’s tribute goes to one man who seems to have taken that freedom very seriously. 😂

For him, there is no “good enough”.
