Peugeot Advanced Grip Control
One of the stand out optional features for the Peugeot 3008 SUV is Advanced Grip Control. Advanced Grip Control allows drivers to switch between driving modes to maximise traction in low-grip terrains.
The system acts on the front wheels, adjusting the grip and torque according to terrain. Being a front wheel system allows the Peugeot 3008 SUV to avoid the heaviness associated with a four wheel drive system.
Advanced Grip Control offers five driving modes: standard, snow, mud, sand and ESP off. Along with specialised tyres, these driving modes enable the Peugeot 3008 SUV to adapt to a broad range of terrains and weather conditions.
Standard mode – for a typical grip to suit normal road surfaces.
Snow mode – optimised to get the best traction when the car is pulling away. Snow mode adjusts as speed increases to allow optimum acceleration.
Off-road mode – best for coping with mud, dirt tracks and wet grass, this mode allows the least stable wheel to have a high level of slip, while increasing torque for the most stable wheel. When pulling away, this will remove excess mud or grass and improve overall grip. As the car increases in speed, the system adjusts accordingly.
Sand mode – helps prevent the car from getting stuck by allowing a slight slip on both front wheels at the same time.
ESP off mode – disconnects Electronic Stability Control (ESP) and Grip Control to give the driver full control. Standard mode kicks in again when the car exceeds 50km/h.
