KUS FLAGSHIP COMPOUND EYE FOG LIGHT — 3 COLOURS, 1 CLEVER DESIGN. 🔬
Most people look at a fog light from the outside. At M Cubes, we like to look deeper.
Today, we're taking apart the KUS Flagship Compound Eye 3-Colour Fog Light to show you what makes its design different.
🔬 1. Dual Reflector Design
This unit uses dedicated reflectors for its white and yellow LED light sources. Rather than treating colour switching in one reflector and by one single led board.
The aim is to make the most of each lighting mode while maintaining useful road illumination.
🌡️ 2. Active Cooling — More Than Just a Fan
Many conventional LED fog light projectors rely mainly on passive cooling, transferring heat through the metal body.
The KUS Flagship takes a different approach with active fan cooling.
According to the product specifications we have, this design allows the rated power to increase from around 30W in a typical conventional projector to 53W per side.
But higher wattage alone doesn't mean better performance. Heat management is important too.
🔥 3. Why Thermal Management Matters
LEDs generate heat, and excessive operating temperature can accelerate light output degradation over time — commonly known as 光衰.
A well-designed cooling system can help manage operating temperatures, support more stable performance and potentially slow heat-related degradation.
Of course, actual lifespan also depends on LED quality, driver electronics, installation and operating conditions. A cooling fan is not, by itself, a guarantee of longer service life.
For fog lights, the goal is not simply to produce more light. It's to balance useful visibility, thermal management and long-term reliability.
👀 And there's one more feature...
This KUS fog light has a little secret that photos alone won't fully explain.
