In September 29, 2011, New-generation D-Max are get world premiere in Thailand ; with the body design ; interior and body construction from new Chevrolet Colorado, but use Isuzu own "i-GRIP" (Isuzu Gravity Responsive Intelligent Platform) platform that Isuzu claim the new D-Max are stronger than old models to 42% plus the longer wheelbase ; and Isuzu own engine ; 2.5-liter with Variable geometry turbocharger (VGS Turbo) are new engine in this generation, with power of 136PS (100 kW) and 320Nm of torque ; 3-liter with VGS turbo upgraded performance to 177 PS (130 kW) and 380Nm of torque ; in low-end model ; current normal turbocharger 2.5-liter are available ; Isuzu claim that engine passed Euro V emission standard ; also come with new 5-speed "Rev-Tronic" automatic transmission with sport mode ; 5-speed manual are still available ; 4WD models renamed from "Rodeo" to "V-Cross", and changing of transfer case from "Touch-on-the-fly" button, to new "Terrain command" system that use spin system ; with 3-mode 2H, 4H and 4L ; change from 2H to 4H you can't to stop a car (when use speed under 100 km/h) ; changing from 4H to 4L want to stop a car ; design are changing with added of roof rack, The car out to showroom around Thailand in mid-October 2011
