Riding on the roof of a moving vehicle poses severe, life-threatening dangers! Without seatbelts, airbags, or a protective enclosure, even a minor swerve, pothole, or sudden brake can throw a passenger onto the road.

Worse, strong winds can cause any young passenger to lose their grip, potentially sending them straight into the path of oncoming traffic.

Starting from today (1.9.2026), the BUDI MADANI eligibility limits have been increased:

𝐁𝐔𝐃𝐈𝟗𝟓

200 litres to 300 litres per month;
RON95 at a subsidised price of RM1.99 per litre.

𝐁𝐔𝐃𝐈 𝐃𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐥

200 litres to 300 litres per month;
Diesel at a subsidised price of RM2.10 per litre.

𝐁𝐔𝐃𝐈 𝐃𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐮𝐩 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐬 & 𝐉𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐬

Up to 400 litres per month;
Includes an additional 100 litres for eligible applicants;
Existing recipients do not need to reapply;
New applications for the additional 100 litres of BUDI Diesel can be submitted via the portal.

Walking with a limping front leg along asphalt roads, Sulong's determination to travel back home from Gerik to Gua Musang has touched millions.

Every step he takes along the highway shoulder is physically taxing. Imagine enduring that journey while cars and heavy lorries speed past at 90 km/h.

As road users, the best gift of empathy we can give Sulong right now is space and patience:

Slow down in known elephant crossing zones (Gerik-Jeli JRTB route).
Give him room to retreat back into the forest safely without crowding his path.
