Some Management Truths can be driven home more emphatically by using some alliterations.
An example is the β€œTriple A Rule β€œ- Avoid All Ass###xs.
Another Triple A Rule β€œ Authority And Accountability.
At the tail-end of the Delivery Chain, have witnessed endless examples where the above rules should be observed to brush off frustrations and to make the Goons held accountable.

Best of the Yanks,Brits & C***k Businees Schools stake their last dollar to ram home the point that β€œ a product is only as good as the way it is marketed.” So we do all sorts of analyses , projections, branding, etc. to ensure that a product can sell and see the light of day.
But not too long ago, a product headed by goons laughed off such mantras. By merely having a good product and cracking the whip by the top goons to the lowest ranked goon all housed at the top of the hill at the downtrodden sales coolies they are laughing all the way to the bank.

Ice or No Ice?
I want a car that roars and growls like a tiger or a lion.
I do not want a pussy-cat.

WHAT CAR TO BUY?

There are so many brands to choose from these days - almost spoilt for choice in a manner of speaking.

If the logo is concealed, all the cars look the same i.e. homogenous as is the industry lingo or in the lingo of some, the natives all look alike.

In the context of research and development (R&D)of cars, huge amounts are incurred and this is indisputable. The end result is that all makes of cars are good but the key point to consider is the competitive edge of one brand compared to another.

In the context of the Malaysian car market, there really is not much choice on offer. Buyers with deep pockets can add to their array of cars similar to a collection of fragrances without having to consider monthly installments, maintenance costs, fuel efficiency, safety standards compliance, resale value, what the neighbours may think, etc. the list goes on. If what they are driving do not live up to their expectations, it is just a matter of going to Ahkow in the vicinity and trade in for another.

For those with slightly less deep pockets i.e. the well educated, well spoken and well travelled types, buying a car still put them in a bit of a quandary. They demand value for money and in this respect, the higher priced brands are just that - prices are higher but something seems to be missing. The process of buying a car then becomes an ardous affair instead of a fulfilling buying experience. One may end up buying a brand which offers fantastic rebates and a trunkload of freebies thrown in.

So to address the gilt edged question of What Car To Buy, the perplexing question can be answered by considering the following factors:
⁃ value for money
⁃ looks
⁃ handling
⁃ safety
⁃ maintenance
⁃ fuel efficiency
⁃ reviews
⁃ resale value
⁃ rebates
⁃ As an afterthought, the matter of rebates should not be considered as it hides some hidden considerations.

Most of the car brands in Malaysia offer some of the above prerequisites and the matter at hand is to do the pros and cons to see which offers the most. Perhaps a scoring based on the above will offer a basis for a Shopping List to be done.
