We want to congratulate Jchanet Tan for her amazing achievement of being recognised as the International Instructor of the Year by National Child Passenger Safety Board, an organisation focused on creating safer transport for the future generation.

One of the early collaborators with Tonnes & Speed, Jchanet went to US at her own expense to attend the Child Passenger Safety Technician course. She has since trained 77 technicians in Malaysia & Singapore.

She also founded the Child Passenger Safety Malaysia, the NGO that is determined on helping parents understand more about child safety seats, the correct method of use and car suitability.

A tireless warrior that constantly champions safer transport for our kids, Jchanet definitely deserves this amazing award!

Congrats & well done Jchanet! Keep it going and create a safer future!!

Did you manage to check out the 2021 Mitsubishi Fuso Canter? Revealed yesterday in Japan, the light duty truck comes with advanced safety systems such as Active Sideguard Assist, making it the first light duty truck in Japan have such system.

Active Sideguard Assist detects pedestrians or other vehicles on the left side of the truck through radar sensors, alerting drivers on risk of collision whenever the drivers are turning.

Besides that, the truck also comes with Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Electronic Stability Program (ESP).

The redesigned front face of the truck reflects the Fuso Black Belt design identity across the range. The new sleek cabin is also seen with LED headlamps with a unique DRL and with a more traditional halogen headlamp with LED DRL.

Will this ever come to our shores in Malaysia? Time will tell.
