Starting next year, EV owners will have to pay for roadtax which is calculated based on motor output (kW).

Perodua Myvi 1.3L 70kW (94hp) - RM70
Perodua Myvi 1.5L 76kW (102hp) - RM90

Besides lower road tax, EVs have lower maintenance cost as there are no engine oil, oil filter, ATF fluid and spark plugs to replace. You’ll save time too as the typical service interval is once a year.

The Proton e.MAS 5 will be priced between RM60,000 to RM80,000. This is Malaysia’s first affordable EV and comes in two variants - Prime and Premium. High Voltage Battery is included, no leasing required.

Bookings are now open for RM99. First 5,000 customers will get limited edition TNG card with RM100 credit and extra RM500 rebate.
