Alcazar De Playa, ' The Fortress,' is a custom-built home located in Playacar, a resort community adjacent to the Village of Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The Playacar development is 800 acres of elegant, all-inclusive hotels, condominiums, private residences, golf course, beaches, and Mayan Ruins. From Alcazar, it is a short 15 minute walk to the Village of Playa del Carmen.

You will find five bedrooms, each with its own balcony, bath, and kitchen. Each uniquely decorated. On the second-floor, the master bedroom has a spiral stair leading to a private rooftop patio with partial views of the ocean. Also on the second-floor is a common open air sitting/recreation area with a palapa roof and ceiling fan where everyone can gather. The entire house is air conditioned.

Downstairs you will find the kitchen, dining room, and living room furnished with antique hacienda furniture as well as the foyer which has a library and television set. The large courtyard patio, which can be accessed from either the foyer or the dining room, provides privacy amidst lush tropical landscaping.

From here one can enjoy the adjacent swimming pool or the tennis court within 20 yards of the house. It's only a three minute walk to the beach or a three wood shot to the golf course. 'Alcazar' occupants enjoy special guest privileges in nearby Ocean Reef Club. 'Alcazar' is truly an elegant and spectacular villa.

Charcos has an amazing view of the Caribbean and the island of Cozumel from one of the more than 1,000 square feet of terraces. The lot is approximately 8,000 square feet, and because of its shape and intense vegetation, it is virtually impossible to see the house and pool area from the street. Casa Los Charcos is the most private villa in all of Playacar.

The house itself is a modern, magical marvel; the perfect tropical retreat, it offers a stunning location for guests to relax and experience the peace and tranquility of the Mexican Riviera.

This architectural masterpiece offers room and comfort by way of 5,000 square feet of fully air-conditioned living space and a total of 5 spacious bedrooms, including one office/bedroom; each bedroom has its own spacious bathroom. There is a laundry room which doubles as maid's quarters, with a full bathroom and its own entrance.

The three-story home is richly decorated and includes a gorgeous dining/living room area with settings for eight, walk-in closets, and an impressive wood and steel aerial staircase leading to the upstairs bedrooms.

The 625-square-foot pool is heated and reaches seven feet at its deepest. It has a diving board and 6-seat whirlpool bath-style seating area with water massage. The pool also contains a 5.5 horsepower Swim-Jet system that produces a current so that you can "do laps" while swimming in place. The house has central air-conditioning and Direct TV satellite service in all the bedrooms.

The windows are double-paned glass and are hurricane and sound proof. The central sound system is by Sonos. There is also Wi-Fi broadband Internet access and an iMac computer. There is a main telephone with extensions in each room and a Vonage phone line and FAX in the office/bedroom.

The garage contains several bicycles, beach chairs, and pool accessories.

The spectacular master suite has ocean views that are breathtaking. The dual showers have ocean views, as do the three terraces that surround the suite. There is an infinity-style heated whirlpool bath, also with ocean views, for up to ten people. You can awaken to spectacular sunrises while still in bed! There is an outdoor sitting area where you can relax and take in the beautiful scenery or sunbathe on the rooftop sunning area. If you feel like entertaining guests, it is a perfect lounge/BBQ area.
