Road Update: Mexicali to La Ventana Oct 12-13, 2025

The road is the best I’ve seen it in 15 years.

A few easily avoided small potholes south of San Felipe to Gonzaga Bay, that’s it… Laguna Chapala to Guerrero Negro - no holes, nada! Lots of new asphalt… lines painted…nice! Even the 2 bridge construction detours were smooth with asphalt base. One well-marked asphalt stripping section north of La Paz for about 200-300 meters, around Km 70 (ish?)

A huge thank you to BC and BCS Road Crews for a job well done! Very impressed!

It is with sadness that we give the news of the passing of our dear Uncle Ernie, who was also our friend and partner.

Without his spirit of adventure, endless optimism and confidence in us, Tango Azul would likely not exist.

We will continue to honour his wishes to have the best facility in town, by doing our very best for our guests!

Rest in Peace Uncle Ernie, we will miss you..
