本日、ジェッダにゴールし、日野としての30年連続完走、10リッター未満クラス12連覇を達成することができました。期間中は日本に留まらず、世界中からのたくさんのメッセージありがとうございました。とても励みになりました。
今回は3日目に自分のミスで前転してしまい、多くの皆様にご心配、ご迷惑をお掛けしました。とても厳しい状態でしたが、サポートチームの執念の修復作業により、競技続行が可能となりました。幸いシャシ及び駆動系にはまったく損傷がなかったため、翌日からアタックを続けることができましたが、大型勢の戦闘力が上がっており、総合成績では苦戦を強いられました。最終的には総合12位と、目標としていたトップ10には届きませんでしたが、今回の困難を乗り越えた経験はチームにとって掛け替えのない財産となりました。
最後になりましたが、コロナ禍の非常に厳しい状況の中、隙のないオペレーションでこの世界的な大会を成功裏に終えた主催者とサウジアラビア当局の努力に敬意を表したいと思います。
我々は必ず更に強くなって戻ってきます。

Today, we reached the goal in Jeddah and were able to complete the race for 30 consecutive years as HINO, and achieve 12 consecutive victories in the less than 10 liter class. Thank you for all your messages from all over the world, not only Japan, during this period. It was very encouraging.
On the 3rd day, the truck turned forward, causing many people to worry. It was a very difficult situation, but thanks to the support team's determination, the truck was restored and the competition could continue. Fortunately, the chassis and drive train were not damaged at all, so we were able to continue the attack from the next day, but the fighting power of the competitor teams was increasing, and we struggled in the overall results.
In the end, we did not reach the top 10 goal of 12th overall ranking, but the experience of overcoming this difficulty became an irreplaceable asset for the team.
Last but not least, I would like to pay tribute to the efforts of the organizers and the Saudi authorities for the successful completion of this global tournament, in the very difficult situation due to the global pandemic.
We will definitely be stronger and come back.
