Overfishing, pollution, acidification, climate change… the crisis in our ocean can leave you feeling helpless. But did you know there are many simple everyday actions you can take to play your part in saving our ocean?

📢 Become an ocean advocate. Educate yourself and others around you on ocean conservation topics.

🐟 Eat locally and Seasonally. Choosing local seafood helps keep the food miles down while Seasonality relates to targeting fish at the right point in the year so fish stocks have a chance to breed and reproduce at more sustainable levels.

🥤 Reduce single-use plastic. The easiest, most direct way that you can help tackle plastic pollution is by reducing your own use of single-use plastics. Carrying a reusable water bottle and coffee cup, avoiding excessive food packaging, using refillable detergent and beauty products… there are countless ways to get started.

🚤 Choose sustainable tourism. When it comes to the ocean, sustainable tourism means being respectful. Don’t touch marine life or habitats, maintain a lower speed when driving a boat to reduce risk of wildlife strikes, avoid dropping anchors on marine habitats such as coral reefs and wear reef safe sun cream.
