The Italian Thoroughbred Motor Company (ITMC), has been born out of a passionate desire to re-introduce the Glorious Italian Brands of Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Maserati, Lancia and more, back into Sri Lanka. ITMC has a long attachment to Alfa, Fiat and other Italian marques in Sri Lanka and with the huge improvements to the brands we feel now is the time to offer these beautiful machines to Sri Lanka. h

Our experience with both brands and especially Alfa Romeo is deep rooted, our Managing Director, Mr Dayan Fernando is the former President, now Competition Secretary of The Italian Car Enthusiasts Club and has a profound knowledge of all things Alfa from the brand history through to the cutting edge development of the new generation of cars. Mr Gishanka de Silva is a passionate car enthusiast and freelance Motoring Journalist for the Motor Magazine, Torque & throttle and Top Gear Sri Lanka amongst others. He was the first to import an Abarth into Sri Lanka and has Alfasud Ti And Fiat 131 project cars in his stable. His Other job is CEO of and Architectural & Engineering Design firm. Our Procurement Director, Mr Dhyan Perera, based in Scotland, has a direct contact with Fiat Uk’s main board and is established as a Fiat Group ‘trader’ for ITMC giving him access to hand-pick cars from the full portfolio including Ferrari and Maserati. ITMC’s tie up with Monza Sports Tuning, who are possibly the UK’s leading Alfa Romeo specialist, further re-enforces our determination and focus to correctly support the brands . It was essential that ITMC could offer its clients full dealer facilities from sales through servicing and customer care and to achieve this we have taken over Sri Lanka top Alfa/Fiat servicing company, Alfa Tech. We are in the process of relocating, upgrading and expanding the current maintenance facility. The construction of a brand new facility is further proof of our commitment to establish ITMC as a complete operation. Finally, our credentials have been given the final seal of approval by the introduction to our Board of our new Chairman, Mr GHA Wimalasena and Dr Mrs MD Wimalasena as a fellow Director.
