The continuous and increasingly fast-paced changes in the markets present us with new challenges every day. This is a mindset that is reflected in each of our models as well as in our company’s management and development. We deli
ght people worldwide
As one of the world’s leading manufacturers of sophisticated and progressive cars, the Audi brand has been delighting customers throughout the world for more than 100 years. For generations, the four rings have stood for pioneering automotive concepts that offer a technical response to challenges. That’s what we call Vorsprung durch Technik. It’s no coincidence that we continue to expand this ‘Vorsprung’ – or lead – when it comes to our product portfolio, production sites and human resource development as well. Indeed, it is the result of a consistent corporate policy and brand philosophy. Around the world, more than 80,000 employees contribute their share to ensuring that people all over the world are delighted by the Audi brand. To secure the company’s “Vorsprung durch Technik” for the long term, we plan to invest more than €13 billion by 2016, primarily in new products and the development of production capacities. We are currently expanding our site in Győr (Hungary). Production was launched in late 2013 in Foshan (China), and will launch in 2016 in San José Chiapa (Mexico). The latest technologies for the mobility of the future
We at Audi are working intensively to create safer and more comfortable future mobility that conserves resources. With this in mind, we have defined various technologies that hold special importance in the development of new models. We are especially focused on the topics Audi e-tron, Audi ultra and Audi connect. All of our activities relating to electric mobility are consolidated under Audi e-tron. Audi ultra stands for lightweight technology, an area where we assumed an early leading role with the 1994 introduction of our Audi Space Frame (ASF). Since then we have further intensified our activities on the way to producing lighter cars. In addition to pioneering navigation and infotainment functions, Audi connect also includes technologies that connect the driver with the internet, the car and the surrounding environment. Examples of this include piloted parking and driving, with which Audi has presented a technology that will support drivers not only when parking, but also in traffic jams.
