🛢️ Engine Oil කළු වුණා කියලාම Change කරන්න ඕනද?

“අයියේ… Oil එක කළු වෙලා. Engine එකට අවුලක්ද?”

Customnation එකට එන බයික් වලින් අපිට නිතරම අහන්න ලැබෙන ප්‍රශ්නයක් මේක.

ඇත්තටම ගොඩක් දෙනෙක් හිතන්නේ…

Oil එක කළු වුණා = Oil එක ඉවරයි.

ඒත් ඇත්ත ඒක නෙවෙයි.

🏍️ මුලින්ම Engine Oil එක කරන්නේ මොනවද?

Engine Oil එකේ වැඩේ Engine එක ලිස්සලා දුවන්න විතරක් නෙවෙයි.

එකම Oil එක…

- Engine parts අතර friction අඩු කරනවා.
- Heat එක අඩු කරලා Engine එක cool වෙන්න උදව් කරනවා.
- Piston, Cylinder, Camshaft වගේ parts ආරක්ෂා කරනවා.
- Engine ඇතුළේ හැදෙන carbon, soot සහ කුඩා dirt particles තමන් තුළ රඳවාගෙන
ඒවා Engine එක පුරා පැතිරෙන්න නොදී උදව් කරනවා.

මේ නිසා තමයි පාවිච්චි කරන කාලයත් එක්ක Oil එකේ පාට වෙනස් වෙන්න පටන් ගන්නේ.

නැහැ. හැම වෙලාවෙම නෑ.

විශේෂයෙන්…

- City traffic වල දුවන Bike
- Daily office යන Bike

මේවායේ Oil එක ඉක්මනට Dark වෙන එක සාමාන්‍ය දෙයක්.

ඒකෙන් අදහස් වෙන්නේ Oil එක තමන්ගේ cleaning job එක කරනවා කියන එකත් වෙන්න පුළුවන්.

⚠️ හැබැයි මේක වැරදියට තේරුම් ගන්න එපා.

කළු වුණා කියලා හොඳයි කියලත් කියන්න බෑ.

Oil එක කොච්චර හොඳට තිබුණත්…

- Additives ටික ටික දුර්වල වෙනවා.
- High temperature නිසා Oil එක degrade වෙනවා.
- Viscosity (Oil thickness) වෙනස් වෙන්න පුළුවන්.

මේවා ඇහැට පේන්නෙ නැහැ.

ඒ නිසා පාට විතරක් බලලා Oil එකේ තත්ත්වය කියන්න බෑ.

එහෙනම් Oil Change කරන්න තීරණය කරන්නේ කොහොමද?

Bike Manufacturer recommend කරන Service Interval එක Follow කරන එක.

ඒක තමයි Engine එක Design කරපු Engineersලා දීපු උපදෙස.

ඊට අමතරව…

- Heavy traffic
- Dusty environment
- Short distance rides
- High temperature

වගේ conditions වල Ride කරනවා නම් Service Interval එක ගැන Garage එකක් එක්ක සාකච්ඡා කරන එක හොඳ පුරුද්දක්.

🚨 මේ ලක්ෂණ තිබුණොත් නොපමාව Check කරන්න.

- Oil level එක නිතර අඩු වෙනවා.
- Burnt smell එකක් තියෙනවා.
- Oil එක කිරි පාට (Milky) වගේ පේනවා.
- Engine එකෙන් අසාමාන්‍ය ශබ්ද එනවා.
- Oil warning light එක පත්තු වෙනවා.

මේ වගේ ලක්ෂණ තිබුණොත් Oil එක විතරක් නෙවෙයි, Engine එකත් පරීක්ෂා කරන්න.

💡 Advice

Engine එක අවුරුදු ගණනක් හොඳට තියාගන්න නම්…

- Manufacturer recommend කරන Oil Grade එක භාවිතා කරන්න.
- Quality Oil Filter එකක් දාන්න.
- Service Interval එක මග අරින්න එපා.
- Oil Level එක මාසෙකට වතාවක්වත් Check කරන්න.

මේ පුරුදු ටික තිබුණොත් Engine Wear අඩු කරගෙන දිගු කාලයක් විශ්වාසයෙන් Ride කරන්න පුළුවන්.
