Great technology is only as strong as the proof behind it. For MOBIS, that proof takes shape on its proving grounds, where validation reaches beyond individual components to the vehicle as a whole.
It starts in Seosan, Korea. Fourteen test tracks recreate real-world roads, from high-speed driving to low-friction surfaces. A radar test track and one of the world's largest tunnel test tracks put sensor perception, cameras, and intelligent lighting systems through their paces.
Now picture a frozen lake about 100 km from the Arctic Circle. At Arjeplog, Sweden, ice roughly one meter thick becomes a test track, part of a site spanning about 1.65 million m² where braking, steering stability, and vehicle dynamics are put to the test in severe cold.
Further east, the focus shifts to locally manufactured vehicles. In Heihe, in China's northern Heilongjiang Province, key components are tested for performance and durability, one of the ways Hyundai MOBIS responds to the diverse conditions of major global markets.
What's proven here doesn't stay here. Customers are invited to experience these technologies firsthand, and at a recent winter proving ground demonstration, major European customers showed strong interest in a next-generation integrated braking system set for mass production this year.
From component to vehicle, validated with confidence.
