Three Jays Detailing

21/10/2026

A vehicle can be washed every day and still suffer from poor paint maintenance, swirl marks, water spots and deteriorating interior surfaces.

The difference is knowing how to clean a car — and how to preserve it.

As Kenya's automotive market evolves, professional detailing is becoming an important skill for anyone serious about car care.

But are we training enough people who understand the science behind the shine?

At Three Jays Academy, we believe it's time to raise the standard.

February 2027. A new level of detailing knowledge.

More details coming soon.

🚘 HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHY PRESIDENTIAL CARS LOOK SO DEEP BLACK, GLOSSY AND ALMOST UNREAL?

Some cars are so shiny and black that you look at them and wonder what kind of material they are made of! 😎✨ That stunning finish is not just about the paint. It takes proper paint care, the right products, professional techniques and attention to detail.

KNOWING HOW TO TAKE CARE OF A CAR IS A SKILL, NOT JUST WASHING!

As newer car models enter the Kenyan market, carwash professionals must upgrade their skills. Customers are becoming more conscious of their vehicles' appearance, and professional detailing offers an opportunity to stand out, attract customers and grow your income.

Imagine knowing how to remove stubborn watermarks, clean delicate rims safely, restore interior freshness, care for paintwork and achieve that deep, glossy finish customers admire!

AFTER FORM FOUR, MUST EVERY YOUNG PERSON FOLLOW THE SAME PATH? 🇰🇪🚗

One of the misconceptions we may be passing on to our young people is that success can only come through a university degree.

Yes, Kenya needs doctors, engineers, teachers and graduates in many other professions. College and university remain important pathways.

But Kenya also needs skilled technicians, professional car detailers, automotive specialists and entrepreneurs who can turn practical skills into livelihoods.

Look at the car-care industry. Professional detailing goes beyond washing a vehicle. It involves interior restoration, watermark removal, machine polishing, paint care, engine-bay cleaning and understanding the correct use of detailing products and equipment.

These are practical skills that can open doors to employment, specialisation and eventually running a detailing business. Of course, success takes practice, discipline, experience and a commitment to quality. Training alone does not guarantee a job or a profitable business.

For the last six years, I have been working in the car-care industry, building Three Jays Detailing Investment and developing my passion for practical detailing skills through Three Jays Academy.

Now, as many young Kenyans prepare for life after Form Four, I want to encourage parents, guardians and young people to consider another option: learning a practical skill alongside planning for the future.

FROM CLASS 001 TO CLASS 003: THE JOURNEY CONTINUES! 🚘🎓

Every class has a story, and every step has taught us something valuable.

When we held our Class 002, we took the learning experience a step further by inviting two professional detailing experts from Italy, representing SIPOM, one of Italy’s major manufacturers of professional detailing products.

The duo shared their experience, professional expertise and insights into the evolving technology of car detailing. More importantly, they opened our trainees’ eyes to the business side of detailing — how one can turn practical skills and professional knowledge into a sustainable source of income.

One of the most rewarding things about training is seeing what happens after the training experience.

Today, I am proud to report that three trainees from Class 002 took the training seriously and have gone on to establish themselves as mobile detailers, doing great work individually! 👏🏽

For me, this is what makes training worthwhile. It is not just about demonstrating products or teaching techniques. It is about equipping people with practical skills, exposing them to industry knowledge and helping them see the opportunities that exist within the detailing industry.

Now, as we prepare to welcome CLASS 003, our mission remains the same: to share knowledge, develop practical skills and help more people discover the potential of professional car detailing.

To our past trainees, keep growing. To those considering joining us, your opportunity to learn is here!

To everyone who believed in our first class, thank you for being part of the journey. And to those preparing to join us in Class 003, your journey towards improving your detailing skills is about to begin!
