People always ask what makes a safari "good." Here's my honest answer.
On-time pickups — Sounds simple. Isn't. The golden hour when animals are most active waits for no one. A driver who's at your door on time is already giving you the best sightings before you've even left camp.
A guide who actually knows the bush — Not just "there's a lion over there," but reading tracks, predicting movement, knowing which waterhole the herd favors at 6am. The difference between seeing animals and understanding them.
The vehicle — A comfortable van isn't a luxury, it's a requirement. Pop-up roofs, good suspension, and enough legroom to lean out for that perfect shot. Bumpy roads are unavoidable.
And then... the kill. Nothing — NOTHING — beats the silence in the vehicle when a cheetah locks onto a gazelle. Cameras down. Breath held. Nature, unscripted.
