My Dear People of South Mugirango,
As we look toward the future with hope and determination, I humbly present myself, Jumaboy Maobe, as your candidate for Member of Parliament in 2027. I stand before you with a commitment to work for the growth and development of our constituency, ensuring that we all rise together toward a brighter future. If elected, I pledge to prioritize the following key areas:
1. Agricultural Transformation:
Agriculture is the backbone of our economy. I will work tirelessly to improve farming practices, provide access to better seeds and fertilizers, and introduce modern farming techniques. We will invest in banana and tea farming and establish value addition industries to ensure our farmers get better prices for their produce. Additionally, I will facilitate access to affordable loans and provide market linkages to boost incomes for all our farmers.
2. Water Access for All:
Clean water is essential for our health and well-being. I will ensure the completion of boreholes and water supply projects in every ward, so that every home, school, and church in South Mugirango has access to safe, clean water. I will also push for water conservation projects to sustain our water sources for future generations.
3. Education and Schools Development:
Education is the foundation of a prosperous future. I will prioritize the construction and upgrading of schools in our constituency. I will work to provide better facilities, ensure our children have access to quality education, and support the training and empowerment of teachers. We will also invest in bursary programs to ensure that no child is left behind due to financial challenges.
4. Supporting Churches and Spiritual Growth:
I recognize the vital role that churches play in fostering moral values, unity, and development in our community. I will work closely with church leaders to support church building projects, youth programs, and community outreach initiatives that uplift our society spiritually and socially.
5. Colleges and Vocational Training Centers:
Our youth need skills to compete in the modern world. I will champion the opening of technical colleges and vocational training centers, where young people can learn trades such as mechanics, carpentry, ICT, and agriculture. These skills will help them secure jobs and start businesses, leading to greater prosperity in our community.
6. Improving Roads and Infrastructure:
Good roads are essential for the growth of our businesses and the movement of people and goods. I will prioritize the construction, repair, and maintenance of roads within South Mugirango to improve connectivity between our villages, markets, and neighboring constituencies. These improvements will facilitate trade and access to services.
7. Expanding Electricity Coverage:
Electricity is key to development, education, and business. I will work to extend electricity coverage to every corner of South Mugirango. No household, school, or business should be left in darkness. Together, we will power our future by ensuring that every home has access to reliable electricity.
8. Fostering Unity and Inclusivity:
Finally, I am committed to being a leader for everyone in South Mugirango. I will work tirelessly to unite our people, regardless of tribe, religion, or background. Together, we will rise above the challenges we face, and together, we will build a South Mugirango that we are all proud to call home.
