Got another storm out there brewing...Less wind, lot more rain...Plan for a safe weekend and take care!

JMA has now named the 10th storm of the year in the western pacific "Haishen". Now located just south of the Ogasawara islands this storm is unfortunately expected to intensify in to yet another powerful typhoon over the coming days. Since similar dynamics and steering flow are still in place as Maysak the storm will act somewhat similar. Only difference is the high over Japan has retreated a bit and thus fair confidence the storm will move further north in to Kyushu and Shikoku. Anytime storms move in to this area rain is all to often the main issue along with the threat of landslides due to the volanic soil in the region. I'll talk more about all of these issues in a video soon. And lastly there is no indication this storm will hit Okinawa but outer rain bands could still impact the island Friday in to Saturday.
