If you are visiting Japan in June, 🍒cherry🍒 picking would be a great and unforgettable experience! The red “jewels”, which shine sparklingly under the sunlight, are the best fruit✨ to taste in June — you’ll be impressed by the delicate sweet flavor and the juicy flesh of it. Same to strawberry picking, within a given limited time, usually 30~50 minutes, you can pick and eat all ripe red cherries🍒 as you can. The admission fee is commonly between 2,000yen to 3,000yen per person, varies according to the variety of cherries and the region. Speaking of the region, Yamanashi prefecture🍒 and Yamagata prefecture🍒 would be nice places to chose. Besides, no worries about the weather, since most cherry trees are cultivated in greenhouses, you can still have fun😊 even on a rainy day!

It is almost the rainy season. ( usually the rainy season lasts from mid-June to late July. )
We call the rainy season 'tsuyu', which literrally means 'plum rain', because it starts when plums are ripening.
Do you know what flower is the symbol of the rainy season in Japan? It is the hydrangeas.
Some temples in Kamakura such as Meigetsu-in temple and Hase-dera temple are known as the best places for the hydrangeas.

Want to have some fresh clean air✨? After wearing mask in public for more than one year, walk in forest🏞️ and take deep breath directly seems likes a precious gift. Let me introduce you a light hiking trail in Oku-Nikko which almost suitable for people all ages--Senjogahara Plateau Nature Trail. At an altitude of 1400 meters above sea level, the Senjogahara Marshland covers the plateau between Lake Chuzenji and Lake Yumoto. The most beautiful season is in autumn🍁, when the marshland's grasses turn into a reddish yellow and the larch trees into a shiny gold🍂. I visited there at early May, as you can see, most of plants has just awaked from winter without too much colors but has another flavor of being fresh and beautiful.

The whole trail is around 7km 👣with well-maintained paths and takes 2.5-3hrs to complete. A route bus leave from Tobu Nikko Station and are bound for Lake Yumoto and you can get off at either Yumoto Onsen or Ryuzu no taki bus stop. If you are a beginner, I suggest that you can start from Yumoto Onsen as most of the way is downhill. The temperature🌡️ is much lower than Tokyo, and it may not passable during winter, so please do check the weather and other info and prepare a map before your visit😊

Children’s day is one of Japan’s national holidays. This is celebrated on May 5th.
Until 1948, it used to be Boy’s Day called “Tango no Sekku”, but nowadays we celebrate children’s growth, happiness, and prosperity of both boys and girls. Children’s Day is a day to thank the healthy growth of children and mothers.
Many people raise the carp-shaped streamers called "Koinobori" in Japanese. ( You can see them in the pictures ) The carp-shaped streamer is a symbol of being successful in life. There are some national holidays between late in April and beginning of May including Children’s Day. It makes about 7-10 days consecutive holidays called “Golden Week”✨. Usually many people enjoy traveling during the holidays. I have no special plan this year, but still cannot wait🌟!. Misaki 🥚✨

🌟Nemophila, commonly known as Baby Blue Eyes, is probably of the most adorable flower at the end of April. A single flower looks like small and fragile, but when millions of those small blue flowers spreading over the hill, the view changes. And Hitachi Seaside Park is the best place to enjoy such scenery. The park is located at Ibaraki, where takes 2hrs by car from Tokyo, and is also accessible with public transports🚊.
The best time to see Nemophila is from mid-April to early-May. On sunny days🌄, you can enjoy the charming fusion of the blue color of sky 💎and the blue of the hill covered in Nemophila. There are many paths up to the top of the hill and through the blossoms for strolling. It’s the tallest point in the park, and affords a panoramic view of the rest of the park and the ocean.

There are plenty of other seasonal flowers and plants to see throughout the year -- narcissus and tulips in spring, zinnias in summer, and kochia cypress and cosmos flowers in the fall. The park is open from 9:30 to 17:00 and may change seasonally. It has some closing days through the year, so please check the information on the park’s website before you visit.

Kawagoe is located about 30 minutes by train from central Tokyo. So it is a suitable place for a day trip! Kawagoe is called “KOEDO” which means little Edo ( Tokyo’s former name) . The main street lined with warehouse buildings retains an atmosphere of old town from the Edo era (1603-1867).
There is a famous shrine called Hikawa shrine. The shrine is known as a place to pray for a partner, or a happy relationship. Therefore it is busy with young people especially.
( I have also been to the shrine for the good luck when I was younger even it took about 2 hours to get there from my house..!) written by Misaki🥚🍳

Lake Kawaguchi ✨serves as the main entry portal to the Fuji Five Lakes area in Yamanashi Prefecture and accessible with train 🚊and direct bus🚌 connections to Tokyo.
The lake is located at the north base of Mt. Fuji and the best views of Mt. Fuji🗻 can be enjoyed from the lake's northern shores. Especially during cherry blossom🌸 season, from early to mid-April usually, two of the most famous Japanese elements- sakura🌸 and Mt.Fuji🗻 can be shown in one photo. Visitors can enjoy the stunning scenery and strolling down the promenade with cherry blossom trees next to the lake.
A festival💃 features vending stalls with various local food, drinks and craft called Kawaguchiko Sakura 🌸Matsuri holds annually during the season. The festival of this year last until April 11, and in order to avoid the "Three Cs ", only craft market is available this time. So please don’t forget to take infection prevention measures🙊 during your visit👣.
