UD Trucks Bangkok plant has successfully completed its 100% EV MHE Transformation Project, achieving full electrification of all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) used in its internal logistics operations.

Material Handling Equipment (MHE) refers to equipment used to move and transport products and parts in factories and warehouses.

By replacing all diesel- and LPG-powered MHE vehicles with EVs, the plant has reduced CO₂ emissions, enhanced workplace safety, and improved logistics efficiency through digital technologies.

A centralized EV charging facility has also been introduced to enhance safety, optimize battery management, and improve operational efficiency. IoT-based monitoring enables real-time tracking of fleet utilization, charging status, and equipment performance.

ＵＤトラックスバンコク工場は、社内物流で使用するすべてのマテリアルハンドリング機器（MHE）の100％電動化を完了しました。

MHEとは、工場や倉庫で、製品や部品の移動・運搬を支える機器の総称です。

ディーゼル車およびLPG車のMHEをすべてEVへ置き換えることで、CO₂排出量の削減、安全性の向上、そしてデジタル技術による物流効率の改善を実現しました。

また、MHEの電動化に合わせ、EV充電設備を集約した専用エリアを整備し、安全性やバッテリー管理、運用効率を向上させました。IoTを活用したモニタリングによって、車両の稼働状況や充電状況、機器の性能をリアルタイムで把握できます。

In celebration of Mandela Day 2026, UD Trucks Southern Africa employees came together to make a meaningful difference at Boikhutso Old Age Home on the outskirts of Pretoria.

Mandela Day is a reminder that every act of kindness, no matter how small, has the power to make a lasting impact.

Guided by company's commitment to meaningful community engagement, the UD employees spent the day improving both the home and surrounding environment while sharing quality time with its residents.

UD Trucks Southern Africa will continue to build stronger communities and create positive change where it is needed most.

ＵＤトラックス南アフリカは、マンデラデーに、社会貢献活動の一環として従業員がプレトリア郊外の高齢者福祉施設「Boikhutso Old Age Home」を訪問しました。

マンデラデーは、「どんなに小さな親切でも、人の心に長く残る力がある」というネルソン・マンデラ氏の理念を実践する日として知られています。

地域社会とのつながりを大切にするという企業理念のもと、施設内外の環境整備に取り組んだほか、入居者の皆さんとの交流も行い、温かな時間を共有しました。また、施設で暮らす高齢者の皆さんがより快適に生活できるよう、様々な必需品を寄付しました。

ＵＤトラックス南アフリカは今後も地域とのつながりを大切にし、一人ひとりの行動を通じて地域社会に前向きな変化を届けていきます。

UD Trucks proudly celebrated its 12th annual DE&I Week across our global offices.

DE&I Week 2026 focused on the theme “Different Minds, Brilliant Ideas – Innovation Begins with Inclusion”.
By highlighting the importance of cognitive diversity for designing and selling innovative products, and embracing inclusive working and hiring practices, we can create a workplace culture that truly embodies the values of Mutual Respect, Mutual Inspiration and Mutual Empowerment.

UD Trucks and Sophia University (上智大学 チャンネル - Sophia University -) are promoting practical education through an academic partnership program.
This year, a semester-long course consisting of 14 sessions began in April, with employees from various departments at UD Trucks serving as guest lecturers throughout the program.

During a recent lecture, a designer from the technology team took the stage.
After touching on the changing environment and social challenges facing the logistics industry, the designer spoke about the crucial role his team plays in identifying latent needs—ones that even customers themselves have not yet been able to clearly articulate—and using the power of design to give those needs concrete form towards a solution.

During the hands-on portion of the session, students experienced design work using the same tablets our designers use in their daily work. It was moving to see them engage with tools they were using for the first time while trying to bring their own ideas to life. Some of the students even expressed an interest in pursuing careers in design, making it a vibrant learning environment.

We hope this course will provide an opportunity for students to understand of the workings of a company, recognize the value it provides to society, and reflect on their own futures.

ＵＤトラックスと上智大学は、産学教育連携協定のもと、企業と大学が連携した実践的な教育を推進しています。
今年は4月から全14回の半期講座がスタートし、毎回ＵＤトラックスのさまざまな部署の社員が講師を務めています。

先日実施した講義では、開発部門のデザイナーが登壇。
物流業界を取り巻く環境変化や社会課題を紹介したうえで、お客様自身もまだ明確に言語化できていない潜在的なニーズを的確に捉え、デザインの力で具体的な形にしていき、課題解決につなげる、デザイナーの重要な役割についてお話ししました。

講義後半では、実際にデザイナーが業務で使用しているタブレットを使い、学生の皆さんがデザイン業務を体験。
初めて触れるツールに真剣に向き合いながら、自分なりのアイデアを形にしようとする姿がとても印象的でした。中には、デザイン分野でのキャリアに関心を寄せる学生もおり、活発な学びの場となりました。

本講座が、企業で働くことの具体的なイメージやその社会的意義への理解を深め、自身の将来について考えるきっかけとなることを期待しています。

UD Trucks Hub Americas will supply 375 units of Croner PKE to the government of Honduras to support their nationwide infrastructure program.

The deal, consisting of 250 dump trucks and 125 water tanker trucks, is part of an initiative aimed at strengthening the operational capacity of municipalities in road maintenance, material transportation, water supply, and local infrastructure development.

The project will be supported by a comprehensive aftersales package, including preventive maintenance, telematics, a four-year extended warranty, and the expertise of CAMOSA, UD Trucks’ authorized importer in Honduras.

Together with our partners, we continue to support the development of communities and infrastructure, keeping cities, essential services, and economies moving forward.

UD Trucks Hub Americasは、ホンジュラス政府の全国的なインフラ整備プログラムを支援するため、Croner PKEを375台提供します。

この契約は、ダンプトラック250台と給水車125台で構成されており、道路の維持管理、資材輸送、給水、地域インフラ整備における自治体の運用能力強化を目的とした取り組みの一環です。

また、予防保全、テレマティクス、4年間の延長保証に加え、ホンジュラスにおけるＵＤトラックスの正規インポーターCAMOSAの専門的なサポートを含む、包括的なアフターサービスパッケージも提供されます。

【「バスギア ターミナル」新記事公開 】

みなさんこんにちは！

『バスグラフィック』とコラボレーション中の「バスギア ターミナル」では、WEBコンテンツとして『バスグラフィック』が取材・制作したバスに関する記事を公開しています。

ただいま「日産ディーゼル／西工特集」を展開しており、第2弾として、今春に引退したUDトラックスの従来型自社製社バスを連載で取り上げてきましたが、今回の記事PART III で最終回となります。

「社バス」とは社員送迎バスの略で、UDトラックスでは本社・上尾（あげお）工場と最寄り駅との間で従業員を送迎する用途で運行しておりますが、今春、新車登場の代替により約20年間活躍してきた従来型6台が引退。1台1台が非常に個性的であったため、3回の記事に分けてじっくりと紹介しています。

6台のうち2台は同型・同仕様であるため、記事紹介する車両を5台として紹介してきましたが、最終回の記事PART III で紹介しているのは、大型ツーステップ自家用バス的なスタイルの、2005年式日産ディーゼルKL-UA452MAN「大宮200は・245」および、大型ノンステップ路線バス的なスタイルの、2006年式日産ディーゼル・スペースランナーRA ADG-RA273KAN改「大宮230す2301」の2台です。
