Honda Team Asia completed the 17th round of the 2026 Moto3 World Championship at Mandalika International Circuit, where Indonesian rookie Veda Ega Pratama contested his first-ever World Championship Grand Prix on home soil.

Sunday’s race saw Pratama fight at the front in an intense battle.
▪️Starting from P7, the Indonesian made an excellent start to climb to second by Lap 2 and remained in contention for the podium throughout the race, eventually crossing the finish line in 6️⃣th place.
▫️Mitani also showed determination, gradually gaining positions and finding a strong rhythm. The Japanese rider joined the fight for the final points-paying places in the second half of the race but narrowly missed out, finishing P1️⃣6️⃣, just one position outside the points.

The Asian Tour got underway this weekend at Mobility Resort Motegi, host of the 16th round of the 2026 Moto3 World Championship.

Both riders fought hard on Sunday in a challenging race.
▪️Veda Ega Pratama, starting from P18, made steady progress throughout the race, fighting his way forward and joining the large group battling for the top positions. The Indonesian rookie continued to push lap after lap, eventually entering the fight for the top ten and crossing the finish line in P1️⃣1️⃣ to score valuable World Championship points.
▫️Zen Mitani endured a difficult home Grand Prix. A jump start resulted in a double Long Lap Penalty, compromising his race despite the promising pace he had shown throughout the weekend. Mitani eventually finished P2️⃣1️⃣.

Honda Team Asia completed the 15th round of the 2026 Moto3 World Championship at the Red Bull Ring.

▪️Pratama, starting P19, produced a strong comeback, immediately gaining positions and fighting his way up to fourth. His comeback was interrupted by a long-lap penalty following an incident with another rider. After his first attempt was deemed incomplete, he was required to take the penalty again, dropping him down the order. The Indonesian rookie continued pushing to the chequered flag to finish P1️⃣3️⃣ and secure three points.
▫️Mitani also made progress from P22, recovering four positions to finish P1️⃣8️⃣.
The Japanese rookie showed competitive pace in the opening stages, but a drop in tyre performance during the second half of the race limited his recovery.
