1955
GNUTTI TRANSFER IS BORN
Founded in 1955 as the service workshop of its parent company, TRAFILERIE CARLO GNUTTI , in just a few months Gnutti Transfer identified its own autonomous vocation in the marketplace: in fact, almost immediately, the company began to construct automatic lathes for the production of fittings and these were soon followed by the production of innovative
transfer machines. THE 1960'S
GNUTTI BEGINS MASS PRODUCTION In short, Quirino Gnutti understood immediately that “teamwork” between the manufacturer and end-users of transfer machines was to become a precious tool for each other's success. Within four to five years, Gnutti Transfer grew from manufacturing just a few machines to the large numbers of mass production: in 1961, the year in which Italy's GNP grew by 8.6%, Gnutti was already delivering hundreds of machines. THE 1970'S
SUCCESSFUL INTUITIONS In the 1970's, as the machines transitioned from pneumatic to hydraulic power, market demand was at its peak and Gnutti Transfer was employing around 300 people. The intuitions of Quirino Gnutti and his collaborators owned their initial success to the ability to build machines that expanded the simultaneous operations of contemporary American “1-2-3” machines to from 3 to 6. THE IMPORTANCE OF INTRODUCING ELECTRONICS Between the 1970's and 1980's, the company stayed ahead of its times and was among the first to apply modern technological solutions, with the important use of electronics, revolutionizing the current concept of transfer machines. Thanks to the continuous technological improvements that increase the performance and reliability of our machines, we have also entered the automotive sector. The first company in the sector to turn to Gnutti Transfer was General Motors; after that, other European manufacturers joined us. THE 1990'S
INTRODUCTION OF THE CONCEPT OF INTEGRATION AND MODULARITY The design and assembly of our new machines are strongly conditioned by the concepts of integration, or the ability to make new programs and accessories compatible with previous machines, and modularity, or the possibility of making them expandable and reconfigurable. For Gnutti Transfer, this philosophy is inevitable and successful, given that, over time, the machines produced in Ospitaletto and their value have proven themselves to be indestructible.

INNOVATION AND EVOLUTION TOWARDS NEW CONCEPTS OF FLEXIBILITY Responding positively to requests for new, more flexible solutions that would permit adapting production to the variable needs of the market, Gnutti Transfer builds NEWFLEX and PENTAFLEX, flexible machines capable of offering the versatility necessary for meeting this new challenge.
