The Motor Valley University of Emilia-Romagna ( ) offers three international and inter-university Master’s Degree programs, taught entirely in English: Electric Vehicle Engineering, Electronic Engineering for Intelligent Vehicles and Advanced Automotive Engineering. An unforgettable day at Ferrari.

Our MUNER students had the opportunity to experience Ferrari Luce – Industry Lecture and Car Presentation, an exclusive event that brought together engineering education and one of the world’s most iconic luxury sports cars companies.

The morning featured an inspiring industry lecture, an engaging Q&A session with Ferrari professionals, and the presentation of Ferrari’s latest technologies, culminating in an immersive experience at the new e-Vortex test track.

Studying at MUNER means being part of the Motor Valley. Thanks to the support of our partner companies, our students can experience world-class automotive excellence first-hand, connecting their academic journey with the innovation, technologies, and people shaping the future of engineering.

Learning from industry leaders.

Students of the Racing Car Design curriculum recently took part in a workshop at Dallara Academy, where experts from Vimi Fasteners introduced them to the world of high-performance fastening systems and their applications in motorsport and high-performance vehicles.

An opportunity to connect classroom knowledge with real industrial challenges, thanks to the direct contribution of professionals working at the forefront of automotive engineering.

Inside EMERGE 2026.

Lectures, hands-on activities, software training and company visits: the Electrical Machines and Drives for Green Transportation Systems (EMERGE) Summer School is offering participants two weeks of intensive learning in the Motor Valley.

Here are some highlights from the programme.

🚗 How is the automotive industry changing? And what skills will future engineers need to keep pace with this transformation?
These were the key questions behind the MUNER Talent Talk, held during the 2026 Motor Valley Fest 2026.

Moderated by Sofia Trinchini, the event featured:
🔹 Matteo Giacopini – Advanced Automotive Engineering
🔹 Massimo Bertozzi – Electronic Engineering for Intelligent Vehicles
🔹 Gabriele Rizzoli – Electric Vehicle Engineering

Together, they discussed the technologies, trends and professional profiles that are shaping the future of mobility, from software and artificial intelligence to electrification, sustainability and the growing importance of interdisciplinary skills.

The Talent Talk was also an opportunity to present MUNER’s three Master’s Degree programmes from a different perspective: not by focusing on study plans, but by exploring the challenges that future engineers will face and the competencies needed to address them.

The first MUNER Summer School of 2026 is officially underway.

And this time, the focus is where innovation meets the toughest environments: off-highway vehicles 🚜

Yesterday, the 3rd edition of the Summer School in Off-Highway Vehicle Design opened at the University of Bologna, bringing together students, researchers, and industry experts to explore the technologies shaping the future of agricultural, construction, and industrial mobility.

From the fundamentals of off-highway vehicle development to undercarriage systems and a technical visit at the UNIBO Farm, Day 1 immediately immersed participants in a highly interdisciplinary learning experience.

Over the next weeks, the Summer School will connect academia and industry through lectures, company visits, hackathons, simulations, and hands-on activities involving leading players of the sector.

Engineering high-performance vehicles for the world beyond the road.
