What happens when a Diablo gets pushed closer to a racing car and somehow keeps a number plate?

The Diablo GT is born.

Only 80 were built.

Everything about it feels wonderfully excessive.
The Diablo GT arrived at the end of an era, when Lamborghini was starting to become more precise, more serious, more modern.

And this still feels gloriously violent.
So, where does it sit for you?
Is the Diablo peak Lambo, or would you still take a Murciélago SV? Or maybe an Aventador? Or a Revuelto…

Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio: a very Italian way of doing things.

Take a four door saloon. Give it a beautiful shape. Send 520 hp to the rear wheels.
The Giulia Quadrifoglio has always had this strange ability to look elegant and dangerous at the same time.
Beautiful, nervous, fast, emotional.

Exactly how an Alfa Romeo should be.

Porsche 930 Turbo: the original 911 Turbo.

There are cars that became legends because they were perfect. And then there is this.
The one that scared people.
 A turbo that made you wait, think, question your life choices, and then arrived all at once like a punch through the back of the seat.

This was the early language of boost. No filters. No apologies. No software calmly saving you from your own stupidity.

You had to know what you were doing. And if you didn’t, the 930 had a rather efficient way of explaining it.
That is why they called it the Widowmaker.

And here, sitting quietly by the water, it almost looks peaceful.
Almost.

Take a small French hatchback.

Give it a small engine.
Then make that engine angry.
Very angry.

Now comes the important bit:
put it behind the seats, where the groceries were supposed to go.

Then widen it.
Then widen it again.
Then keep going until it looks as wide as it’s long.

And there it is, the Renault 5 Turbo.
A tiny city car turned into a mid engined, rear wheel drive, turbocharged little lunatic, just how we like them.

Audi just presented the Nuvolari.

1,001 PS. Over 350 km/h. 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds. 499 units.

A 4.0 litre biturbo V8, three electric motors, active aero, carbon bodywork and a name borrowed from the one and only Tazio Nuvolari.

The technology is clearly there.
The real question, for us, is emotional.

After the R8, Audi needs a car people do more than respect, it needs a car they want on their walls.

So, is this the next Audi poster car?
Or just another thousand horsepower hybrid supercar trying to be remembered?

The R34 GT-R became a legend because of the numbers, the games, the movies, the internet, and millions of posters in our childhood bedrooms.

And standing there, between vines at golden hour, it feels even bigger than all of that.

A car from a time in history when technology still felt physical, boost still felt dangerous, and driving fast still required a deep understanding of what the machine was doing.

No wonder people still love it.

So, if you had to pick one out of the three rivals of the 90s, which would you pick? R34 GT-R, Supra Mk4, or RX-7 FD?
