Sometimes the request is simple. Sometimes it’s not.
A captain might need clarification on an administrative issue. A trusted technical contact. A berth suitable for a specific bunkering operation. Someone reliable to remake the cushions on board. Or simply an answer to a question that falls somewhere in between.
What matters is knowing where to look, who to call and being willing to help — even when the request doesn’t sit neatly within a service list.
Because relationships in yachting are built over time. Not only through the work we are appointed to handle, but through all those moments when someone knows they can pick up the phone and ask.
Sometimes the most useful answer is simply: “Let me see who can help.”
