ET, offset, fitment: what does it actually mean?
A few millimetres can completely change how a wheel sits on a car.
The ET or wheel offset, defines the position of the wheel in relation to the hub.
A lower ET moves the wheel further out.
A higher ET moves it further in.
Simple in theory, but choosing the wrong value can affect clearance, suspension components, bodywork and the overall behaviour of the car.
