𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

Sunshine, two-stroke smoke, Italian machinery, then suddenly the sky turned black and the whole island disappeared into sideways rain and wind. British summer doing what it does best.

What mattered was seeing Italjets everywhere. New Dragsters, old Dragsters, and some beautiful classic machines still being ridden rather than embalmed under covers in garages.

Even better, several new owners placed orders for the Dragster 300 and 700 over the weekend, while the Roadster and Dragster 459 pulled in serious interest.

But the best part was the people who may never buy an Italjet at all, yet completely understood what we stand for.

We don’t build normal scooters.

Normal already exists.

We build extreme, aggressive Italian machines for people who still want something with a pulse.

And British scooter culture is changing too. Once dominated almost entirely by classic Vespas and Lambrettas, more modern scooters, modern classics and younger riders are creeping into the madness every year.

There are even whispers that VFM has noticed, with talk of a dedicated area for modern machinery in the future.

Good.

Things are getting interesting.

Big thanks to Iggy and Linsey, the new faces of Italjet UK, for putting on a hell of a show, and to VFM for another brilliant rally.

The rain eventually stopped. The island emptied. The smoke cleared.

But something is definitely changing.

𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐄 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍. 𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐎𝐍. 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐔𝐓𝐄 𝐁𝐄𝐃𝐋𝐀𝐌.

Alonso Lopez #21 has just fired a 1’49.405 around MotorLand Aragon and planted the Gresini machine on pole.

The strange part? He wasn’t even chasing a qualifying miracle.

Most of the work had been aimed at race pace, tyre management and surviving Sunday. Then qualifying arrived, the visor came down, and Alonso went fastest anyway.

Now he starts tomorrow from the front with one very clear objective: turn pole position into his first podium in Gresini colours.

Further back, Sergio Garcia #3 starts P25, which means Sunday will require something altogether more difficult: head down, elbows out, and a charge through the pack.

IT’S RACE DAY. 🏁

The loudest, fastest and most wonderfully unreasonable day of the weekend.

Meanwhile, before the engines start screaming and all hell breaks loose at Silverstone, here’s a small collection of people stopping, staring and generally wondering what the hell we’ve parked outside Gresini hospitality.

The Dragster has that effect on people.

BACK FROM THE WILDERNESS. STRAIGHT TO THE FRONT ROW.

Three rounds out. Surgery. Weeks away from racing.

Then Alonso Lopez returned at Silverstone and put the ITALJET GRESINI Moto2 machine P2 on the grid, just 0.316 seconds from pole.

Apparently nobody told #21 he was supposed to ease himself back in.

Meanwhile, Sergio Garcia starts P16 with a grid full of targets ahead of him.

Tomorrow we race.

🇬🇧 DAY 1. SILVERSTONE. LET’S GO.

The British GP weekend is officially underway. 🏁

We’re on the ground at Silverstone with the Italjet Gresini Moto2 team, ready for three days of racing, noise and hopefully a little British sunshine.

As for the photos… our professional photographer appears to have been replaced by someone from the Italjet marketing department with an iPhone. 📸

We’ll try to improve as the weekend goes on.
