La V4 serve per una settimana circa, e serve che sia completamente originale. Base o Factory è lo stesso.
La 660 serve per un paio di giorni, non serve che sia originale anzi se ha scarico ed Upmap è meglio.

New UpMap maps for the E5+ RSV4!

The full map set for the SC-Project decat midpipe has been released:

SRN maps to be used when combined with a race slip-on
SRN SHORTY if using rattle cans
OEM-N when the stock or road-legal can is fitted (with customized ex-valve logic)
STACKS versions for all of the above

Those temporarily using the ARW map with the SCP decat, please send a map swap request to [email protected] (it's free).

For the occasion, the SHORTY maps for the Arrow midpipe and Spark race headers have also been updated to fix the wobbly idle. Just connect the UpMap to the bike and a pop-up window will ask you to update your map (it's free).

Here's a little photo dump of the dyno activity, including a printout showing the fully stock bike, decat + race slip-on + tune, and finally the addition of our intake stacks setup.

I've now spent quite a bit of time trying to address the wobbly idle issue affecting some '26+ RSV4s when they are decatted and fitted with shorty exhausts.

The issue is basically caused by sound waves travelling through the exhaust: the lack of back pressure and the resulting wave pulses allow fresh air to get in, altering the idle.

The ECU tries to recover the target idle RPM, but its governing PID goes crazy, altering ignition timing, fueling, and throttle position, eventually resulting in a wobble and, in the worst cases, completely missing the target and causing the engine to shut down.

So, with the bike tied to the dyno and fully instrumented, I tried to recreate the issue. I started by finding the exhaust configuration causing the worst idle effect. At first, my idea was that having no muffler at all would be the worst-case scenario. To my surprise, however, it actually gives a very stable idle (first video).

The worst configuration I tested was leaving the Arrow Pista link pipe on its own. It caused a rapidly deteriorating wobbly idle, with the engine almost certainly dying after just a few cycles (second video).

Fast-forward after testing a dozen different ECU reflashes ( :P ), and the thrid video show here the final ECU configuration: the idle is now stable, and if a wobble starts, it gets recovered within a couple of cycles.

All Euro 5+ RSV4 "SHORTY" tunes are being updated these days with the new idle setup. If your bike shows this issue, please wait a few more days. You'll find the updated map directly in your UpMap profile.
