Porsche 911 E targa 2.2, MY70, Bahia Red

A timeless, clean design for those who simply want to enjoy driving their car without any particular worries.

The increase of displacement was the main innovation of the Porsche 911 for 1970. After six years of success for the 2-liter engine, enhanced in 1969 by the Bosch mechanical injection pump, the decision was made to increase the displacement to 2200 cc (in addition to the valve size), also to allow the cars to be entered in the over-2000 cc class, particularly in Group 4 with the ST version.

The E version, like the one we are proposing, stayed between the T version - more spartan, but also lighter, the basis of racing preparations - and the more powerful S version with his 180 horsepower. The E already had the S’s self-ventilated discs and aluminum brake calipers, and only 15 hp less powerful: the engine delivers 165 horsepower with great torque and smooth power delivery

The model we are offering for sale is one of the last produced in MY70, born Bahia Red with black interior, and arrived in Italy on June 11, 1970. After some changes of ownership, the car was purchased in 2012 by the current owner from the Porsche Service Center in Pordenone, who had performed some bodywork and mechanical work.

Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Cabriolet, MY91, midnight blue.

“If a car could dream, it would dream of being a Porsche”.

That Porsche and that slogan. A stunning 964 Carrera 2 cabriolet, Midnight Blue metallic over blue leather interior and blue soft top. An unique tone on tone color combination which refers directly to a famous advertising campaign made by Porsche in 1992.
This is the reason why I chose, in 2011, this car with this color combo.

It was my graduation present in that year: I’d known about it before and haven’t lost sight of it since. I was looking for it just like that and found it right next to my house.
It was ordered by its first owner from the Soveco dealership in Bologna and has had two owners in total before me, who maintained it with extreme care, documenting every work done with invoices and photos. Since 2011, I’ve continued this tradition, preserving and enriching the binder with everything related to the car’s life, from the purchase invoice to the last service.
After I took ownership, the car was owned by a customer of ours for over 10 years, then briefly returned to us.

ASI certified and approved, complete with service booklet and all invoices for the work performed. Recently replaced tires, convertible top cover, two keys, a second set of original 16” wheels, and the original radio.

Alfa Romeo GTA 1300 Junior, Rosso Alfa, 1968

When racing is not an option: straight from 1968, the new beast from Alfa Romeo: after the 1600, the 1300 also acquired those three magical letters, GTA.

There is a lot of evidences about the racing history of this amazing car: some hill climb races (like the Trento-Bondone, and Garessio-San Bernardo in Italy and the Ampus in France in 1968), the Giro d’Italia car race in 1976, many historical shows (Modena 100 ore Classic, Caprino-Spiazzi, Bologna Raticosa, Tour de Espana…) and others races.

Over time the car was updated according to the regulations and today it is prepared as Group 2, with riveted tailpieces, suitable for racing in the Italian and European championships or in the Alfa Revival Cup. The 1300 carbs engine (in the past it was also fitted the injection) and narrow head (“Testa stretta”) was recently redone by the expert hands of Giuliano Facetti; there is also a second 1600 engine (prepared by Alfa Delta) again with narrow head and carbs. HTP FIA present to race both in the 1300 class and in the superior 1600 class. The chassis and all the mechanical have been recently overhauled and the car attended the last races of the Alfa Revival Cup.

Winning car, with a beautiful documented history, registered with Turin license plates (original ones), ready to give emotions on the track or hillclimb.

Based on a completely new design partially shared with the Aston Martin DB7, the XJR we’re showing comes with the supercharged “R” version of the new V8, 4.2 liters engine of the XJ8, and much more: a ZF 6-speed gearbox instead of the old Mercedes 5-speed, a new, larger front grille in a redesigned bumper, and upgraded interior materials, Performance are impressive: 0-100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and a limited top speed of 250 km/h.

The car has traveled just 69,000 km in 22 years, most of which were serviced at the Jaguar dealership in Bologna. At the time of purchase, the current owner decided to have the green soft top redone, matching the body color, replacing the previous beige soft top, which was removed and kept as a set.
In addition to the soft top, two metallic green “Jaguar” suitcases are included, which can be secured with leather straps in the rear luggage rack.

The car shows the Type 527 60-horsepower 1500 cc engine, entirely assembled by hand by the same worker, two Zenith 40 PBIC carburetors, and a synchronized manual gearbox.

After 36 years in the US, initially in the Max Hoffmann’s showroom in New York, the car arrived in Italy in 1988 in good overall condition, and In the 1990s, after an initial period of use, the bodywork underwent a complete restoration.

About ten years ago, the interior and hood were redone by the expert Ferraresi brothers, and about 200 kilometers ago, the mechanics were completely overhauled by the Donadel workshop, a well-known name among Porsche 356 enthusiasts. Photos and invoices of the work carried out are present.
