2)Is type2 22kw or 7kw AC charger correct for my home ?? Vast majority of Electric cars are unable to take advantage of three-phase type2 22kW charging at home. A more powerful charger does not necessarily mean it will charge your car faster. For example, Nissan Leaf on-board charger is limited to 6.6kW charging at AC (find out the optional upgrades on the car before you buy). This means that even with a 7kW charger this Nissan Leaf would charge at a maximum of 6.6kW. Each car is different, so check with the manufacturer or dealer to find out how fast it can charge at home. In most situations our customers find a type2 7kW charger at home is more than enough for their needs.
3)Is DC Fast changing bad for the EV? The accepted wisdom in the industry is that faster charging will increase the rate at which an EV’s battery capacity will decline. However, a study conducted by the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) concluded that while an electric car’s battery will deteriorate faster IF IT'S, ONLY POWER SOURCE IS (DC)FAST Charging, which is almost never the case in real life, as we use AC slow charging at home.

Kona has a maximum DC charge rate of 77kw
Tesla Model 3 Long Range has a maximum DC charge rate of 250kW
Renault Zoe ZE40 available in Australia does not have DC fast-charge
