One of the world’s highest astronomical observatories, the Indian Astronomical Observatory, sits patiently at Hanle, with its telescope’s lens trained towards outer space – the perfect location for those interested in astrophotography.
That’s exactly where Astral Ride 2019 took an enthusiastic group of riders, combining the passions for photography and motorcycling under the clear skies of Ladakh. In a masterclass by accomplished photographer Navaneeth Unnikrishnan, they learnt to photograph the night sky, capturing the Milky Way in all its glory.
