DHRUV DHRUV is the official BAJA SAE INDIA team/Off-Road racing of Knowledge Institute of Technology(KIOT)

It is an initiative taken by a crew who were enthusiastic and always felt strong with the objective of bringing together those brains who always think to work ahead with an inventive ideas in the field of automobile. So, when they got an opportunity, they, have started a team named DHRUV, inspired after INDIAN Multi Utility Helicopter (Mfd by HAL) and stared working towards their goal to achieve

a paramount position in the competition among the engineers. After commendable performance in BAJA SAE INDIA 2017, the team in the coming year plans on competing in the prestigious BAJA SAE India 2018 gearing up with a new team with sole aim to achieve victory. About BAJA:
The BAJA SAE Series is an event for the undergraduate engineering students, organized globally by the Society of Automotive Engineers, USA. The event was originated in the name of Mini- BAJA, in the year 1976 at University of Carolina. Since then the event spread its wings to several countries like USA, Mexico, South Africa, Korea, Brazil and India. BAJA SAEINDIA tasks the students to conceptualize design, build, test & validate a single-seater four wheeled All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) to take part in series of events spread across a course of 3 days that test the vehicle for the sound engineering practices that have gone into it, the agility of the vehicle in terms of gradeability, acceleration, suspension, traction, sled-pull and maneuverability characteristics and finally, its ability to endure that back breaking durability test. The event has become more challenging than ever, both to the participants and to the management. The notable of all features of the event is it being aligned to the best practices followed in the industry, and imparting knowledge of the same to students.
