# Tip no 8:- Use your front brakes, as most of the braking power is in the front brake. Use your rear brake for slight adjustments. When you brake, the weight is transfered to your front wheel, hence more stopping power is available. When you need to brake urgently, Dont ever grab that lever, but squeeze it fast, but steadily, this helps ensure you dont lock up your wheels and maximum traction is available for further harder braking. Practice your braking, it will take some time to get used to the braking style. Most important is that you keep your mind calm in urgent braking situations, so that you can take proper decisions, brake properly and avoid accidents. Ride Safe !!

# tip no 7:- While racing, if you miss a gear, shift to higher gears, It is better to put your bike out of the powerband and maintain momentum, than locking up your tyre, getting a jerk and loosing traction...

# Tip no 6:- While starting a race, rev up your ride, not to the maximum limit, but in the peak torque range. This makes sure you transfer the maximum energy to your tyres. Read your bikes brochure for finding out your bike peak torque rpm.

# Tip no 5:- "Trust". Trust your tyres.Even if they sometimes feel like slipping, they usually dont. Get them warm before racing. Warm tyres offer better road grip than cold tyres. Even if you have hard tyres, which slip easily, keep your mind clear and calm, keep your balance and let the bike dance, let it slip in corners, just press the opposite foot peg down to get grip and press the same foot peg to loose it !!.. Many racers have reduced their lap times by actually sliding in corners.... Happy racing !!!

# Tip no 4:- Use your brakes only when you need to, not when you think you have to. Confidence is the key.
