The Paint is the skin of the car, it defines how it looks. Every day, as you use the car or even just keep it in your parking, the car is exposed to the elements. These include dust, pollution, acid-rain, hard-water, small stones, plant branches, road grime, tar, oil, etc.! (Phew, that’s a long list). Even as a new car is sitting in the dealer warehouse, which are typically an open warehouse and a
lmost always a non paved surface – there are going to be scratches and swirls. Most of us have a person to clean our car, typically our building watchman or someone else. They use a piece of cloth, if you are really lucky a good quality wash cloth or then it is just a discarded cloth like your old T-shirt. As this guy cleans multiple cars, they take water from the society tap, which very often is ground water from the bore well. He dips the cloth in and ‘washes’ the car. This cloth, which is probably not washed for months, contains fine dust – remember he probably uses the same cloth across cars! Over time fine scratches are made on the car surface due to these fine dust particles. Interiors
Over time, interiors of the car gather dust from our shoes, stains from the little spills that happen and show signs of wear and tear on the seats, elbow supports, armrests, dashboard, etc. Have you felt recently that your dashboard is looking dull and dusty? Your pristine leather interior has lost its shine? Your car smells moldy! – Air fresheners don’t remove the root cause of the mold, which often is some food stuck in some crevice of the car. This gives out harmful bacteria which can affect your children as well. Pet hair (and human hair as well) is a something a lot of us live with, in our cars. There are a myriad amount of places that small bits can get into.Over the years, the car doesn’t ‘feel’ as good as it did before.
