Missing riding high up in the Himalayas! Here is a to the 2019 which took us from the Nepalese city of Pohkra to the ancient walled city of Lo Manthang, nestled more than 12,000 feet above sea level.

In these tough times that we’re all going through, we need to protect each other. By staying home, we can do our bit, not just for our safety but for the safety of those around us. The itch to ride out will always be there, but we need to hold back, so better days can return.

“Royal Enfield has asked the people to , a one of a kind motorcycle based off a Meteor 350, which would truly be an extension of yourself, and not your parents, your friends, or your boss. There goes the pillion seat.

So I asked myself, what would I actually want from a custom cruiser? I want a unique look that's obvious. But the kind of person that I'm, I don't want it to look unique at the expense of performance.

And, I'm a sucker for faired motorcycles. All of my motorcycles are a 'she.' So I ended up with an Enfield having extra bodywork. The panels derive inspiration from RE's tagline - made like a gun. A classic handgun colour scheme of black and brushed silver completes the look. Christened as the 'Aerondight' - the word literally means aero equipped - this motorcycle would encourage me to maintain those highway speeds all day long - and coupled with the symphony of the 350cc single, would make every drop of that damn costly petrol worth it.

PS : thank you for the heads up.”

“The Escapist

The inspiration behind this design came from one of my favorite movies which is the great escape and another interesting character of doc Hudson from cars movie. I've always been fascinated by the fact that how protagonist Steve McQueen tried to escape in his motorcycle despite it being a vintage cruiser.

Coming back to the modern world, this build is good for escaping from work load and stress which we're always hooked towards during week days. The Meteor 350 is a great machine on which I could incorporate the retro modern design. The whole body has retro styled elements (inspired from doc Hudson) paired with some modern features. Few special elements are single piece seat, semi covered rear wheel arches, semi western style handlebars, a custom fuel tank, integrated exhaust mouth in the lower mid panel (being attached underneath thru slip on set up), oval shaped tool box and air filter box on either sides of the middle part, spokes instead of alloys to have a scope of exploring the outskirts and maybe some bad roads and vertically aligned rear fender integrated tail and turn lamps. I found the base of the meteor compact as a result of which I tried to put down these retro modern custom elements into it. Almost the whole underpinning is unchanged and the panels are bolt on which further gives a good chance of building this on any base Meteor. Talking about the stance, the single piece seat is good enough to ride the bike easily in different conditions (street, highways, hills).”

“My concept based on the Meteor 350, for the

I grew up watching a lot of custom motorcycle shows on Tv. I've always been fascinated by the fact that people made these machines as works of art. A few of my inspirations would be Indian Larry(RIP), Billy lane, Roland Sands, Max Hazan, Marcus Walz and many others.

The concept that I came up with was inspired by a bobber/chopper style. But with the intention that it performs well, while still maintaining its stock elements, making it street legal. So, the front portion of the frame and tyre stayed true to their stock form. The rear swingarm has been extended(a few inches) and the tyre has been shifted to an 18 inch giving it a long stretched out stance. Swapped the alloy wheels for spokes, shortened the fenders, a custom seat, clip-on bars giving it a drag look. The sissy bar was inspired by Indian Larry(almost all his bikes had one). The fuel tank was the last thing to be drawn, I wanted it to be a unique one-off. The lines of the motorcycle asked for the tank to be mounted a bit higher as compared to the stock one, the cowl was made to complement the lines of it. I kept some of the stock parts of the meteor like the round tail lamp, exhaust, meters and also added some other accessory like the front rubber gaiters, bar- end mirror( right).
I would like to thank for this opportunity. This is my concept.”

“The Scrambler motorcycle is a type of bike which isn’t easy to place in a box. But one thing is for sure – it’s a bike built for off-road and street use.
Today in the custom bike scene, a scrambler is a healthy mix of a (retro/old) bike with a higher than average riding height and shocks, and dual purpose tires, stripped down to the bare essentials. The handlebars themselves are wider and braced across their width. Headlamps are smaller and mounted on shorter brackets. Exhausts tend to be high level, seats shorter and sometimes thicker.
The innovations of telescopic forks, rear suspension and clutch levers were largely driven by them.
This is from where my inspiration began for an ROYAL ENFIELD BUILD YOUR OWN LEGEND”

“My first exposure to custom builds was the show named ‘Counting Cars’ on History channel. The ‘Count’s Kustoms’ workshop in Las Vegas, NV with Danny and his crew. Their main focus is building cars but whenever they worked on a motorcycle, it was amazing.
They always built an entire frame around the engine which left me with questions, how did they do it? Why don’t we do it here? Are these bikes real? and of course the basics of building a motorcycle. The hard tail choppers built by Danny’s crew were so legit hardcore.

The inspiration behind this particular design came from such vintage hard tail motorcycles. Although this particular design isn't a hard tail but I had a rough idea of how I wanted it to be.
I wanted it to have tall wheels (not big chunky ones) and a small fuel tank to expose the chassis and the engine. It appears as if the entire motorcycle was built for the tyres. Everything on this motorcycle other than the wheels, chassis and fuel tank is minimalistic to give it the ‘big boots’ look.
Watching such bikes on television and not in real life made them exclusive and fantasy bikes for me at that time. However, now with proper exposure, I can turn that fantasy into reality and Build My Own Legend.”
