Folks Motor has launched Folks Funds, an ESG-focused AIF Category II, targeting INR 500 crore to boost India's EV supply chain localization.

Having secured INR 100 crore initially, the fund will invest in powertrain, energy storage, EMS, and system integration, aiming for over 50% domestic value addition, aligning with 'Make in India'.

A significant portion will develop The Blue IP in Sonipat, Haryana, India's first xEV-centric industrial park.

MD & CEO Nikhil Anand Khurana envisions this as a future-ready ecosystem for sustainable EV manufacturing, promoting self-reliance and job creation.

It was inspiring to hear and meet industry stalwarts who are relentlessly pushing boundaries in clean mobility, battery tech, EV manufacturing, and charging infrastructure.
