Germany is taking the early lead in the hydrogen economy with the introduction of the first hydrogen-powered train and a world-leading 60 hydrogen stations in-place.
“The application of hydrogen for energy is new and there is a belief that it has a great future,” said Ulrich Schmidtchen, spokesmen at the German Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association. “Industry is investing and politics usually follows suit.”
This will be a long process but development are starting to take shape. Heavy-duty trucks, buses, trains, delivery trucks, lift trucks, marine vessels, and UAV's/drones are where every country should keep their focus on for right now.
