NBQP–QCI successfully conducted a four-day series of Quality Awareness Workshops across government schools in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, with the support of the Directorate of School Education, Himachal Pradesh. This marks QCI’s first such initiative in the state.
As part of this initiative, workshops were conducted across eight schools in far-flung areas including Beolia, Junga, Patgehra, Sarog, Khalag, Ghanahatti, Durgapur, and Bhattakuffer, covering over 600 students.
The sessions introduced students to life skills along with Quality tool that can be applied in everyday life through engaging, activity-based learning modules:
• Grades 1–5: Confidence Building through storytelling and interactive activities
• Grades 6–8: Problem Solving using the 5W+1H tool
Through hands-on activities, guided discussions, and participatory learning methods, students strengthened their analytical thinking, reasoning abilities, confidence, communication skills, and structured approach to real-life problem-solving. The workshops reinforced how Quality tools can be meaningfully applied in everyday situations, nurturing a Quality-oriented mindset among young learners.
NBQP–QCI expresses its sincere gratitude to Shri Ashish Kohli, IAS, Director of School Education, Himachal Pradesh, for allowing the implementation of this programme in the state. Following the success of these workshops, the programme will continue with more sessions in Sirmaur district.
