Wheel alignment refers to adjusting the angles of the wheels so they are set to the manufacturer’s specifications. It ensures that the vehicle drives straight and doesn't pull to one side.

Benefits of proper alignment:

1. Improves vehicle handling

2. Reduces tire wear

3. Enhances fuel efficiency

4. Prevents the car from drifting or pulling

Signs your car may need alignment:

1. Uneven or rapid tire wear

2. Steering wheel is off-center when driving straight

3. Vehicle pulls to the left or right

4. Vibrations while driving

Wheel balancing ensures that the weight of the wheel and tire is evenly distributed around the axle. This is done by adding small weights to the rim.

Benefits of wheel balancing:

1. Reduces vibrations in the steering wheel, seat, or floorboard

2. Increases tire life

3. Improves ride comfort and handling

Signs your car may need wheel balancing:

1. Vibrations at certain speeds

2. Uneven tire wear

3. Noisy steering

💧What fluid is leaking from your car?

Leaks happen - but not every puddle means panic.

So how do you know if it's something serious or just harmless condensation?

Let's break it down:

Why do leaks occur?

It could be:

Poor-quality parts

Flawed design

Manufacturing issues

Or - the most common - lack of regular maintenance

Good news? You don't always need a mechanic right away. With a little know-how, you can spot the issue yourself.

Step 1: Catch the leak

Place cardboard, newspaper, or foil under your parked car (on level ground). This will help you collect and inspect the fluid.

Step 2: Identify the leak

Check the color, texture, and even the smell of the fluid. These clues can tell you if it's engine oil, coolant, transmission fluid, or just water from your
AC.

A little awareness = a lot of saved time and money.

TRAFFIC DCP TAPAN MOHANTY LEADS PILOT CAMPAIGN TO EDUCATE COMMUTERS ON SAFE AND DISCIPLINED LANE DRIVING.

In an effort to reduce traffic congestion and accidents, the Commissionerate Police launched a lane-awareness drive in Bhubaneswar, starting at Jayadev Vihar Square. Supervised by Traffic DCP Tapan Mohanty, the initiative aims to educate commuters about proper lane discipline. Police used barricades and cones to guide vehicles into appropriate lanes based on size and speed. Officials noted that many accidents occur due to drivers abruptly switching lanes without signals, reflecting a lack of awareness.

The campaign emphasizes staying in one lane, especially during peak hours, to ease traffic flow from Jayadev Vihar to Damana Square. If successful, the model will extend to other areas like Acharya Vihar and Patia.
According to Indian traffic laws, the left lane is for slower vehicles, the middle for moderate-speed cars, and the right for overtaking. Proper adherence could significantly enhance road safety and reduce travel delays.
