Govt. Is proposing 40 percent tax on bikes above 350 CC. Which means they want to control , who will buy what and they want to forcefully shut down the buisness who are manufacturing vehicles above 350 cc. How it will happen.
Step 1. Impose 40 percent tax , which will push the cost of the vehicle up, which will make it out of budget for various buyers. So the customer will look for lower options, which are in budget but not of their choice.
Step 2. As the sales will be reduced the companies have to survive somehow, because they already have a lot of investment in it, and will start doing cost cutting, reducing the quality of the vehicle.
Step 3. If someone is somehow buying these vehicles, they will get a substandard quality product after paying the premium cost. So they will feel cheated and the product value and reputation will go down.
Step 4. The sales will be down and slowly, but steadily the companies will stop making these products.
Step 5. All the companies who are connected or subsidiaries will face the burn, and customer will. not have options if they wanted to have.
Step 6. Few companies who are already making lower CC bike will have monopoly in the market. And that's what the whole game is.
