Oil Leaking From Your Fork Oil Seals?
Time for a fork overhaul..
Our indian roads have beautiful undulations, discontinuities and reworks happening every now and then. Your motorcycle suspension takes a lot of abuse to still give you a comfortable ride and save you from the odds of having a slip disc.
In return one must do the favour of tending to their motorcycle suspension maintenance needs.
Every 10,000 kms change your fork oil.
Every 2 years change the seals or even if you happen to see them ruptured.
Check spring rates/ suspension sag every 3rd year.
Also note, do not carelessly ride your motorcycle with a ruptured oil seal. Chances of your front brake calipers bathing in this suspension oil is very high. REMEMBER! BRAKES WORK BETTER WHEN THEIR COEFFICIENT OF FRICTION IS NOT DISTURBED. The last thing you would want to see on your brake pads or shoes, is the presence of a lubricant. 💀

Layman's Science : Scooters Don't Come With Clutch.
Fact : When there is a system that needs variable speed for an output, you do need a clutch, you might operate it manually or else the system does it for you.
Incase of scooters, there is a centrifugal clutch sitting inside the clutch bell, based on the engine rpm input, the clutch shoes held against spring tension come in contact with the clutch Bell's inner surface. The contact ratio is controlled by the centrifugal reactive forces which is directly based on the load on the engine.
